I'd be the first to admit that Mike has much more direct knowledge (i.e. rally experience) than me in this area, but I will say that Cibie's are still available - at least in Oregon. I was at a BAP/GEON dealer two weeks ago, and he had quite a bit of Cibie stuff in stock and was able to place orders for more. Years ago Cibie's marketing propaganda touted higher lead content glass, and a higher quality lens design as the differentiators. I've had their headlamps on three different cars, and their Oscar driving lights on two of them, and always loved them. As to real differentiation between Cibie and Hella, my guess is probably not enough to notice a significant difference in the real world. Brand loyalty is blinding sometimes ;-) Sort of like the difference between a Casio and a Rolex? jeff _ / Jeff Maurer, Staff Analyst _ ___/ _ __ Manufacturing & Engineering Apps / / / / / / Sequent Computer Systems, Inc. / /__/_/ / Internet: jdm@sequent.com Uucp: ...!uunet!sequent!jdm __/ (503) 578-5062 "I say hurl.
