Hiyall,

The zip(per) on my hood is beginning to fail. The teeth are
separating from the cloth so the two sets of teeth don't mesh
nicely any more over a section of 2 cm or so. I managed to sew
the teeth back in a few months ago but it's started getting bad
again. 

Poor old rooster is 4.5 years old and is on UK extended
warrenty. I just tried my mazda dealership and they said
"wearable item, not covered, you need a new hood". I said
"cripes, that sounds a litte excessive". They said "yes, try a
trimmers". 

So the questions are, has anyone had a new hood out of mazda on
a car this old via extended warrenty ?

Has anyone had any luck just getting the zip replaced in the UK
at any kind of trimmers and can you get a nice sturdy brass one
put in rather than the cheap plastic standard one ?
