OK folks, I did it. I removed my front license plate and am now rolling the
dice that the lame Turlock Police, the State Police at CSU Stamnislaus, the 
Stanislaus County Sheriff and the good old 
California Highway Patrol aren't in the mood to be pissy.

"Little Red" really looks great without that obnoxious front plate
bracket.

So I'll take the chance with a $10 fix-it ticket. But yesterday I parked
in a metered space close to my office (50 cents and hour), came out five minutes
after it had run out and had picked up a $15 parking ticket. I already pay
$44 a semester for the honor of parking out in the hinderlands to go
to work.

Talking about revenue enhancement.
