Two netters have written about their Mazda car covers disintegrating
after washing.  I went through two cotton/poly covers in four years
with my car always parked in a carport overnight.  When the cover would
get somewhat dirty I'd shake it out, but I'd have to wash it every month
or so (and machine dry).  The Ultralon cover I have now doesn't seem to
get nearly as dirty because it's pretty dust-proof -- I just shake it
out once in a while, but it has also been washed and dried without
problems.  It sounds like the Mazda cover may be one to avoid if this
is a common problem.  A cover isn't going to keep your car clean if it
(the cover) is dirty all the time.
