addendum:
I just sent a long-winded tale about Bridgestone tires and forgot
to qualify a bit...
Apparently the B.S. tires are bad in the wet - both of my Miatas
were driven here in southern New Mexico - we measure our rain in
"inches per YEAR".
If it does rain, the oil and rubber that exude from the pavement make driving
treacherous at first. Nobody is used to it and the traffic accident
rate goes up like it was the first snowfall!
So I am unqualified to judge a tire on wet-weather performance.
