From: scrandel@sdcc13.ucsd.edu (S. Crandell ) Subject: do I need to unzip window for top down driving? Date: Wed, 4 Jan 1995 20:06:15 -0500
I just got my Miata. :) :) :) I am in love. This is the best car I have ever driven. I've driven cars that are faster and handle better, but overall, the Miata has class. Unfortunately, here in San Diego we are getting rain. I buy the car Tuesday night and it rains all day Tues, all day today (Wed.). NOT FAIR!! Oh well, it will be sunny in a few days and it will stay that way for weeks. Anyway, I was reading the owners manual and it says that I should unzip the rear window and always attach the cover piece whenever I have the top down. That would seem to make taking the top down a lot more of a hassle than just unhooking the two clasps and dropping it, with the window still zipped up. Do I _really_ need to unzip the window or is this just Mazda being anal?? This is my first convertible and I have no idea about this sort of thing. Thanks, Sean Crandell 1990 Red "A" scrandel@sdcc13.ucsd.edu
