     Sean,

     I had never named a car before I bought my Miata.  I really didn't
     intend to name the Miata either until I drove her in the Houston St.
     Patrick's day parade.  The yellow Miata in front of me had a custom
     tag that said PNT-MNM (peanut M&M).  A funky circus clown dressed in
     glittery green rode by on a unicycle and noticed the plate, then he
     looked at my tan and white Miata and said "If that one's an M&M, yours
     must be a TIC-TAC."  I laughed, and the name sort of stuck.

     P.S.  A lot of people used to think my old mustang GT (also white with
     a red stripe) looked like a running shoe...
