Jaime, Depending on where and how you drive, I'd suggest a few things. I drive in the Santa Cruz Mountains on a two-lane 60+ mph road (Highway 9), so I carry an emergency kit in a gym bag in the trunk which contains: Ground sheet for changing tires or wrapping around a shock victim Flares (I try to keep 3 in there) Emergency first-aid kit Crackers-and-cheese and jerky Pint container of water Scary spotlight (200W, I think) that plugs into the cig lighter Roll of paper towels Believe it or not, the gym bag squashes down by the spare tire so it nicely fills the "well" and evens out the floor of the trunk. I've put a layer of newspaper and then plastic under the bag so if my trunk gets wet (still does, mysteriously, after heavy rains but not after washings) the bag stays dry. Otherwise I've got about the same collection of stuff throughout the car that you do, plus some stuff for my 4-yr-old daughter (books, coloring book + crayons, hat, light blanket, snack container). Also a tiny flashlight that fits into the finger-hold on the arm rest so I can peer into the mailbox to see if I've got all my mail (and no spiders). Whew, got more involved than I intended! Sorry for the novel.... Jeannie Hobbs Boulder Creek, California, USA, planet Earth P.S. Yes, Mike, the 5th anniversary book is TERRIFIC!!
