I did the same on Christmas day.  It was such a nice day here 
in Detroit (but a little cooler, 40's maybe), I had to take the
hard top off before I cruised to my parent's for dinner.  i think
last year I got the urge on New Years Eve when there were a few
snow flakes in the air.  I still enjoy the strange looks and 
finger pointing in other vehicles.
