From: Bob Crawford Subject: Strange cargo Date: Tue, 3 Jan 1995 14:41:49 -0500
Admittedly, this is a pretty lightweight topic, but I can't resist. I'm wondering what is the strangest cargo y'all have hauled in your Miata's trunk. Yes, this means I think I might have a winner on this score. See, I'm diabetic and so my doc watches my kidney function pretty closely. About once every two years, I have to, uh, save my, uh, uh, pee, in a jug for 24 hours and then bring it to the lab. What fun! So, after acomplishing said savings while watching bowl games, this morning I loaded "Little Red" with my laptop computer, umbrella and 5000 ml of all-American, grade A, high-test urine and set off for the lab...praying all the way that I would not get rear-ended. I can report the following: It is only slightly less humiliating to do this function in a Miata than in, say, a mini-van. It is more fun, thought. Also, Miata's are a blast, but not powerful enough to turn p*** into gasoline, as the old saying goes. OK, top that... Bob Crawford and "Little Red" Turlock, CA Bobc@koko.csustan.edu
