Welcome (soon) to the wonderful world of Miata ownership.  I'm a fellow 
San Diegan and I am reasonably active in the "local" club.  To get 
further info, just call Chris Burns (club president) at 726-3811.
 
BTW, the club isn't actually just a local San Diego club....it is a 
Southern California-wide club.  It's called Southern California Miata 
Association (SOCALM).  We have a monthly newsletter and lots of fun 
events throughout the year.  (You can also join at any given event.)

P.S. Yes....$8200 is an OUTSTANDING price for a Miata in the condition 
you describe.  In fact, it is >so< good that, personally, I would be a 
bit suspicious.
