Well, I did it again last night, ran out of gas on the way home. I do this once or twice a year. Does anyone make an add on idiot light to warn of gas getting low? Even my '51 'TD has a low fuel warning light (of course it has no fuel guage at all). It has a float connected to a simple contact switch so as the fuel level drops, the float starts to bob up and down which flashes the light as the gasoline sloshes around the tank. When the level gets low enough, it just stays on. Simple but effective british engineering. Of course, the switch contact chamber itself fills up with gasoline, and I worry that it will explode some day, but so far no problems. Anyway, it would be nice if the Miata had a low fuel warning light. -gbeck
