Isn't it ironic that the Big 3 would be doing this, when comparred to the amount of
noise they made about installing airbags when that law was first passed? Seems that
they finally figured out that safety sells. Or, in the case of DRLs, the appearance of
safety.

Having said that, I think that DRLs are goofy-looking and here in Detroit, most people
look bemusedly at the Canadians that drive through the area from Windsor with their 
lights on in broad daylight.
