It was the most difficult project I've done on the car. Any special tools required? You need a spring compressor (coil-over-shock type) and a ball joint separator. I picked up the spring compressor for $40, but they go much higher. For the ball joint separator I used a tie-rod end remover tool that worked great. About $20. I've heard of others using a pickle fork and tapping with a hammer. I wouldn't do it that way. Too easy to damage things. I probably wrote up a summary on this (I always do). I'll see if I can find it.
