Playing with Quentin's list: sports cars: RX-7 1st gen Z cars Miata NSX Corvette MR2 CRX-Si (1st gen) So far so good, but: CRX del Sol Are you sure? Only barely so. And if yes, then what about a 3-door Civic with the same (160HP) engine? Same balance/performance/price. Just more room (by the way I am not sure they are selling them here in that configuration but they do in Europe). And, Capri??? No, this is a definite no. It doesn't have the chassis potential. Ah, by the way, How come the Vette poses as a sports car, and the last generation Z doesn't? (In fact I would put them both in sportY. But they have the same characteristics, that's why I mention them together). And you *definitely* forgot to add the new 911 and F355 to your Sports car list (the 911 would still make it, even if price *is* an issue). And, I agree on the sporty cars, but they are not worth discussing anyway. Imitations, imitations... And, to attempt a definition: A sports car is the one that does not spoil the driver's fun when driven at its limit (with imprecise stering/terrible brakes/horrific handling, or imprecise handling/etc/etc). A wide definition. My Renault 4TL (again) would fall in it. My sister's Nissan 100NX no, by no means. Yiannis.
