Herb,

My local Mazda dealer sold me the same exact filter for the 323GTX as for
the Miata.  Back in '89-90 though, the Miata filters were a bit larger
for a time.  MCA discussed this filter change if I remember correctly
and said that the differences were not significant.  It did play havoc
with filter wrenches though!
