Subject: Jackson Stainless Exhaust...Its here!

	The UPS dewd just showed up with a big package.  It is my
exhaust from Jackson Racing.  So of course I unpacked it and have a 
cajillion little styrofoam peanuts all over my game room.  My first
impression: BIG PIPE!  This thing is HUGE.  2.25" Stainless steel pipe
with a 3" presilencer to a stainless muffler can to a 3.5" (89mm)
exhaust tip!  The bends are extremely well formed, in fact they are better
than the Flowmaster kit I had for my Mustang.  The presilencer gently
expands to its 3" size then gradually necks down to 2.25".  You can
see all the way through it and if you take a small flash light and stick
it in the muffler inlet pipe you can see light at the tip, even with
all the curves and bends so it must be a "free flow" muffler.  I had a
heck of a time getting all the peanuts out of the primary pipe. (HINT
use a coat hanger.)  They forgot to send a gasket for the flange that
connects the primary and muffler pipe.  Oh well I can get one of those
at the local parts house.  So far it looks really great I just hope that
huge exhaust tip doesn't overpower (nice pun eh?) the rear of the Miata.
Installation will take place this evening and I will have a full report 
in the morning.  See you later, I have some baselining to do while the
stock exhaust is still on the car, to verify any improvements.
