I have the a similar squeak/rattle.  It seems to be coming from the glove 
box, but I don't think that the glove box is the problem.  I have gotten 
the squeak with the glove box open, closed, empty or full.  Occasionally, 
I can get the squeak to stop if I push firmly on the glove box handle.  
It is easier to change lanes or speed to get the squeak to stop.  If 
anyone has any ideas I would love to hear them.
