Piet, The Miller cycle engine is not a 5-stroke engine. It's a Mazda offering on their Millenia sedan. That engine is a supercharged V-6. The Miller cycle consists of delaying the closure of the intake valves well into the compression stroke. The supercharger keeps the pressure up so the charge is not lost. The effect of all this is more power with good fuel efficiency. The Mazda blower is a Lysholm screw-type compressor. There, I've told you more than I know. It all sounds like such a good deal, I don't know why there aren't more engines of this type. Probably cost. Bill Allen
