NO NEWSGROUP, PLEASE !! I agree with Miq, Karyl, and others. Please don't change the Miata Mailing List to a Newsgroup. The current setup is very easy to work with, especially since so many of us are courteous enough to use appropriate subject headers to allow others to scan for topics of their choice. (For a diverse group of electronic Miata nuts, were are all quite well behaved -- as compared to other computer forums I've had the misfortune to read.) The current format is easy to copy/paste/download/print information. It's easy to communicate with the List and individual subscribers. I enjoy "talking" to MIATA OWNERS & ENTHUSIASTS who share my passion and fanaticism for Miatas. I have no desire whatsoever to include the motoring public at large. I enjoy the "Miata Family" of familiar names I've grown to recognize on the List. I don't want the intrusion of "outsiders" who don't live and breathe Miatas. I don't want to be deluged with non-Miata messages or read about any other vehicles than MIATAs. Please leave things as they are. To paraphrase Miq, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!" Why make more work for Andy Poling or others? Don't we all have better things to talk about (Miatas ?) than to waste our time on something that doesn't even need changing? Or, as the old High German folk saying goes, "Keep der fingermittens uff der knobbenflobbens." ( Don't touch that dial ! ) (This phrase is applicable to a lot of situations.) Cheers, DRAKE A.
