See if your employer or union has a credit union.  They generally charge
less than the street rate.  Also, get a copy of the Monday (any Monday)
San Jose Mercury--in the Business Monday section they have a lot of info
about loans and you may find one more to your liking.

IMO, 12.25% is steep, especially when they're probably paying their
savings account holders 3.5% or some such nonsense.
