If we are taking a straw vote ... I vote NO on newsgroups.  I also agree
with Matt.  If someone wants to separate business mail from miata mail,
then use the Digest option.  Like others, I receive anywhere from 100 to
200 messages a day from various lists and students.  The digest form of the
miata mail allows me to quickly spot the mail and store it on disk (so I
can take it home each evening to my husband).  This would be more difficult
to accomplish if the list switched to a newsgroup.  I vote to keep it in
its current form.
