Subject: HEAT SHIELD RATTLE

    I'm fairly new to the list and I have been reading about the heat 
shield rattle and fixes for it.  My car has a noise that I assume (yes, I 
know what happens when you assume!) is the subject rattle.
    At the risk of showing my ignorance, where is this heat shield?!  I 
changed the oil this weekend and while the car was up on jack stands I 
checked where I thought this heat shield might be (one over the cat 
converter, one on the exhaust manifold).  Didn't see anything that looked 
loose or might cause the rattle.  What am I missing??
