Wow.  Nice feature, however since I am rarely invisible, the car's
ability to match probably wouldn't matter too much to me.  ;)

As for this, I can only suspect that your choice of colors may be to
blame. Around here, I've never seen a white, black, or blue Miata
pulled over - however, I have seen 3 or 4 red Miatae stopped at the
side of the road. Perhaps you need a Police Degausser?

Yeah.  Try to find a '91 BRG while talking your wife into a $4,100
Turbo and exhaust job on a car she's not sure you can afford unless
you get it in a different color - then suggest Merlot.  ::Sigh::

Paul - excited about this Miata idea, astonished that Mazda didn't
       release BRG as a standard color, and frustrated about financing.  
       :)
