However, you'll lose your backpressure which is important on low torque. If you have better air intake system and stuff such as Turbo, Changing it to straight pipe will give you a lot of power, but as for Miata, you won't see that much of results. Just get a better header and exhaust, and that should be good enough. Besides, that's illegal in our state....
