I do. . .but only for trips > hour.  Sometimes in the summer when there 
is no rain or dew I put it on and leave the top down for days.  I think 
that it looks better with the boot, but it takes too much time to put it 
on for just tooling around town.  The boot helps keep the top from rattling 
too.
