the other day, i decided to replace the little rubber antenna i have because the rubber has been decomposing and leaving black streaks down the paint when it gets wet. ok fine, i got 4 years out of it, i have no complaints... so i went to unscrew it and... it broke off! :-( the metal bolt in the bottom had rusted away a bit, so it's stuck in the antenna base, and there's nothing left to grab onto it with. i finally figured out how to remove the antenna base from the car, but i don't see that it helps me much. drilling it out doesn't look like that much fun. so... has anyone out there who replaced your stock antenna with a power unit still got the old base kicking around? (not the mast, but the part that fits within the trunk, with the wire coming out of it) if so, i'm interested! send me email with your terms, thanks.
