I've done many many searches for over half year, but found only one acceptable way. Bazooka 8" tube. Recently, company such as "Pioneer, JL Audio" made a Subwoofer Enclosures for spare tires, but they are not that good. JL Audio ones are pretty good, but they are all over $400 which just isn't worth it. There is a Miata Sub Woofer System that will sit in between the seat, but they are just plain ugly, plus you are asking people to "Take my $400 woofer please!!" I've mounted an Bazooka 8" on left side (Driver's side) of the trunk, and mounted with strap. Its easily removable, and its not that space holder. Best of all, it will protect the left side of your trunk (Fender) as well. This 8" Tube will give you a bass of 2-8" box. Think about it. You are saving large amount of trunk space!! 2-8" Box might not even fit in your trunk. But Bazooka will. :-) Oh, and if you are on the road shopping and bought somethig that you can't put it in unless you remove the Bazooka, Go ahead!! Throw it away!! Afterall, you can buy more than 2 Bazooka for price of any other space saving Subwoofer..... :-P P.S. To show you how many ideas I came up with while I was researching for Bass, here are some lists that I tried: 1) Tried to make a custom box on passenger side's food rest, There were just not enough space to make the Bass sound come out without making passenger's leg bend pretty badly 2) Stripped out the seats from the car tring to find a space on bottom of the seats, back of the seats, and even inside a seats (Thanks to Tom in Street Sound Plus), nothing that I could put any kind fo subwoofer with good sound. 3) Stripped a dash to see if there is any space left inside, but no.... :-( 4) Was going to mount the Bass inside the thin metal pieace covering the gas tank, but it rattles too much, and too much trouble to get rid of all that rattle 5) Searched inside the engine room, but I guess not.... 6) Looked under the car, but no space what's-o-ever.... Did I forget to research anything else? :-) Jay TAKAHARA 94 White still waiting for oil pan to arrive.....
