From: dherr@extro.ucc.su.OZ.AU (Dennis J. HeRR) Subject: rear vinyl window vulnerability Date: Tue, 2 May 1995 01:10:16 -0400
This morning I locked me out at my university parking station. :( The moment I closed the door - I always keep the passenger side door locked all the time - I realized that I left the key at the ignition. It's the first time I've ever done that in any cars I've driven - honestly man. Anyway, I was in kind of hurry and don't want to leave key inside and deal with after lectures. Then I notice the rear vinyl window and it's zipped! So I carefully pull the zipper from outside and viola! I opened the rear window. After that it's matter of sliding into the cabin and open the door - careful not to put too much pressure on the trunk lid or you'll get a nice deep dang. :) After that incident, now I'm a bit worry of the vulnerability of the soft top. If someone who knows can enter the car and leave without any sign of forced entry and it takes less than a minute to do. Is there any method to prevent this?
