>>>>In the Tire Rack ads the 195/55 size is only available in Z-rated
tires ($$$). Is this size available on a more reasonably-priced
H-rated tire? I'm interested in the wider rubber plus shorter,
stiffer sidewall. On the other hand, I'm not sure there's going
to be a huge difference for street driving between 185/60, 195/60,
and 195/55.>>>>>
The 195/55-14 is not available in anything other than Bridgestone and Dunlop
currently. The small difference in size is unimportant compared to the type
of tire you choose. Perfect example would be if there were a cheap 195/55-14,
say $75, for the same proce you can get the best 185/60-14 and get better
handling. It's not the size, it's the grip that counts. With the additional
height in using the 195/60-14 affecting your center of gravity, stability and
steering response, I wouldn't bother.
>>>>Anyone else have any comments w/ regard to tire size? Is there
better selection available in 15-inch tires?<<<<<
There is a big increase in ultra high performance tires, but less in the more
mid-level type tires.

The D60A2 is a current allseason tire, the D60M2 is a discontinued
non-allseason tire.
I hope this answers your questions

P.S. Lighten up on those dumb tire dealer comments. I'm easily offended and
not stupid.
