I remember a story in one of the U.S. car mags about four years ago
where they eveluated a modified car by Jackson Racing (older engine
management system they used to offer, sway bars and stainless steel
braided brake lines).  What they found was that the Miata's braking was
much worse with the braided lines than with the rubber lines. They were
surprised an didn't have a good explanation.
