Sorry to say, I've fallen more than a Megabyte behind on the Miata list, and I really can't imagine keeping up with this kind of volume - not that the volume is a bad thing, just that my mail program is not up to this much skimming. I have seen some "hyper-mail" adaptations, where a mailing list is made available on WWW, with threads and respond buttons, etc. I know the Newsgroup idea has been beaten to death, but perhaps, if it is possible to do on the jhunix server, hyper-mail might give all the title-thread skimming capabilities of news-readers without giving the list Usenet exposure. I fear that it has already outgrown the happy little mailing list that most of us would like to participate in. Check out http://www.atomic.com (somewhere in there, not too tough to find, is an example of hyper-mail) not for the content, but for the ease of use. So, for some miata content in my final message: 91 Base Smurfballs Blue with Warped Fitti-500 wheels (in the garage, running on the stock steel now), I really want to get back to my D40M2 195-50-15s! Trackbar, both arms installed, seemingly causes the stock muffler hangar to break off (twice now), or perhaps it's the increased heat of un-combusted gasoline burning in the muffler from extended full throttle driving, hmmmm... Sony 10 disc changer serving double duty as an in-trunk driver side fender dent protector. Carver 120x2 amp mounted behind the fuel filler hose, probably violating the crumple zone beside the gas tank, but if I'm hit that hard in that location.... Sony 6530 (or some such number) 6 1/2" in the doors, keep blowing the tweeters, but they have awesome bass, and with 240W, you really don't need headrest speakers. Soft-top glue that keeps dissolving in the Miami humidity, and a dealer who is more than happy to keep replacing the top, but consistantly scratches, dents or tears something while doing so, and can never seem to get the top to seat on the driver side drip rail properly. And, most importantly, a Miata Club shift knob that I find increases my gas mileage, lowers aerodynamic drag, gives better traction in the corners, and makes my Miata the coolest convertible on the block ;) BCNU L8R, Mike Inman NIMS@CRIS.COM
