re: the comments about the radio on/off switch problem in
humid weather (which i have experienced numerous times as well...)

1. i tend to reject the "solution" of "have it replaced".
   as far as i know, Panasonic hasn't made any improvements
   to prevent the problem, so all you're doing is deferring
   a reoccurance for another year or so.  although i guess
   this is fine if you don't mind replacing the radio every year...
   (unfortunately, i didn't notice the problem on mine until
   after the warranty was up)
2. i really don't see why i should have to call Panasonic to
   fix a problem that is so common to nearly all Miatas.
   seems to me that Mazda should be forced to do something about 
   it for us.
3. since it isn't a problem for me that often, i've just been living
   with it...
