My wife, wonderful person that she is, just brought home some wonderful stuff from her job at a local dry cleaners. It's called "Zipper-Ease," and she thought that it might make opening and closing Mitzi's rear window easier. Well, she was right! The zipper used to catch in about three different spots during it's travel, particularly when closing. Even though I always have the latches released, and some- times go as far as to hold the top open a bit while zipping, the zipper would snag. Anyway she brought home this stuff, which is a soft waxy material, in a grease-pencil type package. It says on the package that it "will not stain or soil fabrics." I put some on the zipper teeth, and after a few zips back and forth, it made a HUGE difference! The zipper now operates very smoothly and does not even try to snag at the aforementioned three spots. This stuff works great, and I really think it would go a long way toward improving the longevity of the zipper, hopefully forestalling an expensive repair. Highly recommended! I would guess that this product would be available at places like dry cleaners or fabric stores, and I can't imagine that it would cost more than a couple of bucks. Compared to replacing a zipper, it's cheap insurance! If you can't find it, the info from the package: Zipper-Ease Manufactured by the A. G. S. Company, Muskegon, MI -Marc and Mitzi (Who has a very smooth zipper now!) ['Easy access, baby!' - The Time]
