We have had a cell phone in our '92 since it was three months old.  I
installed it myself, and it looks like it was a factory accessory.  Most
cell phone shops use a through the glass antenna on convertibles.  It looks
stupid, and the performance suffers.  It comes in handy for calling the CHP
to report cattle loose on the highway, and you never have to look for a pay
phone.
