If you don't like the glass mount, what antenna did you use?  I only
carry a flip phone turned off in the MX-5, since it's supposed be the
fair weather car.  Since the MX-5 is on lease, I don't want a roof
(rear deck) mount and trunk lip mounts don't do it for me either.

I'm not sure it's issue for me, since our long hauls in bad weather are
done in the front wheel drive Saturn SL-2 with a hands free mounted
phone with better antenna, power, and range, but I'm curious.
