Dear Single-Malt, Congratulations on selecting a very professional internet address name for yourself. Is it in "compliance with Web standards?" I'm sure it is, being as how you are the expert and everything. I was very happy to read your message to Mr. Mcgee... Boy, is it ever refreshing to have a tried and true internet and world wide web "netiquette" expert (is that how you spell it?)! Your AOL buddies must be very proud of you!! I've only been a web site developer and systems specialist here at Rockwell for a couple of years now so I'm not sure if I'm a "newbie" or not, but I had an idea. Since you recently reminded me that the internet is definitely NOT "a public forum open to all who care to enter" and since we should be a "self- regulating discussion group" why don't you be our "regulator in residence." I will ask the net if they wouldn't mind sending you a copy of their question FIRST, then you can decide if its worthy of a post or if the person who sent it deserves a swift kick in the pants. You could even send them the address for the archives, and instruct them sternly on how to behave. Just an idea, but I thought it was a good one, again, YOU are the expert here. Goodness, I had always thought that private net-sites or ftp servers were kept away from the public eye with routers, firewalls, and corporate security measures. Thank you so much for reminding me that any server I happen to surf into is not for public forum and that I should prepare to be regulated. Do you happen to work for the government? Please send me your home address, I'll send you a buck or two to help you get elected to whatever government office you'll be running for! Fight, Fight, Fight!! kjw & TIC-TAC
