Warning: this has really weak Miata content. I noticed a couple of posts alluding to the 500, driving Indy in the Miata, etc. I've never been to the race but have visited the track twice and stayed in the shadow of turn 2 in the 500 motel. I've also listened to or watched every race since 1955. Running "Little Red" on the track there would be a dream. One of my favorite Miata rides of 1994 was to the Silver Crown 100 USAC dirt car race at Cal Expo in Sacramento last October. After the race, my son and I stopped by to visit with some of the drivers which we often do after midget and sprint car races. One guy we spent some time with was Stan Fox, whom we also visited at Springfield, Illinois in 1992. He is a bright, affiable guy who always has time to talk to fans. And contrary to the traditional road for oval trackers, Fox is college educated with an engineering degree from Arizona State. So, I'd appreciate it if all you Miata folks would say a little prayer for Stan. He's sort of one of us...loves cars, likes to go fast and enjoy life. And I suspect he really needs the prayers after that turn one deal. Thanks, Bob Crawford and "Little Red" Turlock, CA
