     The Miata M Speedster show car indicates that Mazda isn't
     going to let Mercedes-Benz, BMW, and others dis it with their
     own small roadsters. Although the M Speedster that has been
     making the rounds of this year's auto shows isn't exactly
     the car that will go into production - its windsheield
     won't meet safety standards, for one thing - some parts of it
     will. Most likely it'll have a a200-bhp, turbocharged 2.0-liter
     version of the current Miata's engine, along with a stiffened
     body structure and a revised suspension to cope with the
     extra power. The cool faired-in headrests could well make it
     into production, and a set of ballon fender flares and wide
     tires might also be in the program.

} Still no pictures yet of the BMW 2-seater, which is another
} car they're waiting for.

 Isn't this the BMW Z3 that's pictured 6 pages before the Miata
 Speedster in the same article? It's the best photo I've seen of one so far.
