You know, its *sooo* easy to sit here and give out advice to others, but when
it happens to me...

The zipper is starting to rip on the rear window. There's a tear about 3 inches
long running horizontally between the zipper and the plastic. Every time
someone else asks this question, I tell them to get a Robbins top. Well, I
can't afford a Robbins top right now and I need a low cost fix - even if it
only lasts 5 months. I was thinking of suturing the tear and then gluing on
some reinforcing material. Will this work? I'm afraid if I don't fix it *real*
soon, the entire plastic window will fall out within a couple of days. Rips
seem to have a way of propagating.
