I've probably been watching too many Tim Allen routines (more power!), but I've started to consider the purchase of a power buffer for waxing my miata. (I'm rationalizing that it would be used on our much larger Corolla. There are a few models by Waxmaster and Black and Decker in the $48-69$ range. The question is: if used properly (don't press down, keep moving...overlap 50% on each pass, etc. How safe are they on the Miata's paint. I've seen it mentioned on this list how relatively thin, soft whatever, the paint is. Frankly, rewaxing the Miata by hand is kinda relaxing (at least this time of year) and the car is small enough, but the larger Corolla is no fun at all and if I already had the power buffer it, it is only a matter of time before I try it on the Miata.
