Well, it finally happened. The battery in our red '90 gave up the ghost a week ago. We got this car used in August of 1990. The original owners purchased it in January, 1990 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The car now has ~62k miles and other than routine maintenance the only non-routine replacement parts have been ignition wire sets which seem to degrade at about 20k miles. Oh, the tonneau cover is starting to get a bit hosed with the tennax fasteners losing their innards and the plastic piece that fastens around the rear part of the driver/passenger opeining getting brittle. >From my experience and what I see on this mail list Miata's seem to be very durable. But, most importantly; what a fun car! -Jim
