Unless you are racing for money (and could win cash) I wouldn't worry about it. You could argue that you welded them in before the "weld perch in place rule". I have the newer konis with two perch settings. My perches rest at the stock height, but are not welded in. Technically, I could be protested, but nobody around here cares (whether I beat them or not).
