John Emerson asked about driving schools featuring wet skid pads. Bertil Roos has a school out at Pocono. One of the features is a fleet of specially modified "skid cars". These have some sort of a wacky rear axle arrangement where the axle can float sideways and has horizontal shock absorbers on it. You can drive the car on perfectly dry pavement and it is just like driving on ice. No need for water.. When the Del Val club went out there, we got to try it--definitely rewards smooooth! Anyway, he advertises in the back of Autoweek, C&D, etc, or you could sign up to go in Sept with DelVal. Bill Cardell The Dealer Alternative 1-800-FLY-MX5S
