OEM Miata front pads are about $50 from the dealerships that advertise in the MCA magazine. I got mine from Stockton. I later switched to Hawk Blacks - Much better, and only 45$ from Essex. ______________________________ Reply Separator _________________________________ Subject: Brake clips Author: sylvain@ctron.com (Eric T. I only ran into two problems as follows: 1) Needed to back-off the caliper. For this I used one of the old pads and a C-clamp. That was easy, although I was luck that I needed brake fluid, because the resevoir went right to max. 2) I did not get OEM mazda pads, at $90 I figured that the third party pads at $23 was a-ok. The only difference was that I would have to re-use the hardware from my old set. Which would be OK, but I have a '90 and I didn't have the v shaped spring clips that hold the pads from rattling. For now I am living with the rattle because Mazda has no ability to sell pads without hardware or vice-versa. A pretty stupid marketing ploy that has me PO'd to no end. I will be ordering a hardware kit from a local parts store unless someone has changed their brakes and can spare their old "V-springs" if they are using new hardware. That's all I have, can anyone relate similar stories. -Eric ###### #### ######## #### ######### ##### ########### #### ### #### ##### ######### #### ### ##### ##### #### ##### ### ####### ##### #### ###### ######### ## ###### ####### #### ##### ##### ######## ########## ## ##### ### #### ######### ### ####### ########## ### ##### ### #### ##### ## ###### #### ### ### #### ### ######### ### ##### #### ### ######## ### ######### ### ##### ### ### ########## ############## ##### #### ####### ########## ######## ################ #### ###### ##### ###### #### ###### #### #### ##### Eric T.
