I'd concur with Gary Samad - I can only hear it with the hood up while idling, so it's not intrusive. I wrote it off to tight mfg tolerances (=better performance!) Since I rarely stand around with my hood up and the car idling, I don't think about it. >#2. Flat spot - When blipping the throttle, response is slugglish, causing >difficulty when downshifting. Any comments? No flat spot or suggish response here (or maybe I'm just not picky). Might check your throttle cable run - if the cable is adjusted too loose you may find that slowing the response of foot hitting throttle. Also check the timing. I'm running mine at 6 BTDC w/ 92 octane. The MSD unit will let you run at stock timing. I drove a Miata with HKS intake and exhaust the other day, and was amazed to get back in mine and feel the power difference - makes up for any noise, and the throttle response is a whole lot quicker.
