In a message dated 95-07-03 19:18:10 EDT, you write: >I am a little leary about where this thread is going. >If there really is a Sharon E. Kirkpatrick, member of >the Carolinas Miata Club, then I apologize for being >skeptical. > >MUDDFLAPP's only postings ever, where in May '95 regarding >the 1990 Millen Turbo Miata for sale. That's it, MUDDFLAPPs >has never posted any suggestions or commentaries before, not >even to the dreaded What's in the CD Player Today... thread. > >MIATAWOMANs only posting are on this accident. First the >accident message, then the unsubscribe message with Sharon's >name. This incites some sympathy posts. I felt sorry for her. >Then the posting of MUDDFLAPP's letter to get us really going. >I think this may be a practical joke. I could be wrong. > >Both accounts are from aol.com. I apologize and > I would like to be one of the first to welcome you to the group. > > > >Mandatory Miata Content: > >Four day weekend, Top down weather. Need I say more... >________________________________________________________ > Sorry Joe, but I believe you do owe Ms. Kirkpatrick an apology. I am an AOL subscriber and I chatted online with MIATAWOMAN on Friday night. I have no doubt that she is real and that the incident with MUDDFLAP is real. Coincidentally, I just sent a note to MIATAWOMAN noting that I have not noticed any postings from MUDDFLAP since subscribing early in April. I tried to pull up the member profile on MUDDFLAP and surprisingly, there isn't one. That doesn't mean he doesn't exist, but I would take it to mean he doesn't care to share any information about himself with the masses. I agree that we should let this one go and resume "normal" list activities. I hate to think that there are people out there that lurk around, harrasing (or whatever you want to call it), list members on the side. However, they've drawn more attention than they deserve already. Blake Palmer-Houston, TX Red '90 "A" OMC: Less than two months until Cleveland!!!
