My symathies to Frank and Robb and especially to their cars. I thought irresponsible driving was primarily a USA thing, but Frank's experience shows that incompetence knows no limits. Granted, the Miata is a small car, and can be difficult to see from another (especially larger) car during backing maneuvers. Nevertheless it's a LOT bigger than a small child - and I would think that these folks would be sufficiently responsible to wish to avoid such a tragedy. I guess to them, cars aren't very important - especially if it's your car, and not theirs. This brings to mind another thought: If they don't care about cars, I strongly suspect this carries over to their driving. "What the hey, I can point it down the road, more or less, and that's good enough" philosophy. Kind of scarey, isn't it, when you wonder how many there are like that. --Jack M. & KANSEI--
