Any other Miateers out there involved in 4th of July parades today? I was in
my first parade today in Edmond, OK (home of Shannon Miller) with
representatives from the Central OK Miata. We had 2 red, a white and a
silver to haul dignataries (although the person that was supposed to ride in
the silver never showed up and probably got more attention that way). We
also had 2 blacks, another silver, a red and a white cars that drove along
without dignataries.

We had some dignataries that wanted to sit on the back but told them that
the Miata (nor us owners) wouldn't allow it since they were not exactly
Shannon Miller size. The parade started at 10AM and we were 15th in line. We
started moving shortly after 10AM and were done by 10:45. There were several
other floats, people, etc. that were just starting the parade when we were
all done.

Central OK's next parade is scheduled in October for the Czech festival in
Yukon, OK (home of Garth Brooks) if we can round up enough cars.
