David talks about looking for non Miata-specific solutions... S T O R Y T I M E ! ! I made up my own trunk light using parts from Canadian Tire and an electronic supply store. I bought a mercury switch (like the kind found in most thermostats), some wire, heat-shrink tubing, and a small trailer light. I hid the switch in the curve of one of the arms that hold the trunk lid and screwed the bulb holders from the trailer light into the cyclops brake light using the screw that was already there. The light is excellent. It has two bulbs for a lot of light and is recessed in the metal bay that holds that middle brake light thingy. lid go up: light go on lid go down: light go off light go on light go off light go on light go off... Note: Total cost under $10 Canadian. Includes satisfaction of 'dun it myself' Sincerely, Paul Boychuk Toronto, Canada pboychuk@vnet.ibm.com '92 Red
